A Jan. 15 MicroGridKnowledge story noted the lab’s involvement and leadership in a number of new grid modernization efforts funded by the DOE. R&D.com and others also covered the announcement, which appeared in a lab news release.

A Jan. 14 Fast CoExist story featured a report on renewable portfolio standards led by Ryan Wiser, Galen Barbose and others. The report also appeared in stories on ClimateCentral, Crain’s Detroit, CleanTechnica, EnergyBiz, UtilityDive, ClimateChange News, Vox, and others.

A Jan. 14 Symmetrymagazine story on supercomputers being used for dark energy research quoted Peter Nugent.

A Jan. 14 Smithsonian magazine story on the brightest supernova quoted GregAldering.

A Jan. 13 Business Insider story on the possibility of creating a real light saber, ala Star Wars, quoted Richard Mullermentioning the lab’s BELLA laser project.

A Jan. 13 Associated Press story on studying agricultural water being used from oilfield wastewater quoted William Stringfellow. Capital Public Radio, the Sacramento Beeand numerous other news outlets ran similar stories.

A Jan. 12 Green Car Congress story highlighted research led by Marca Doeff on a better battery and was based on a lab news release.

A Jan. 11 Science news story on preventing battery fires quoted Vince Battaglia.

A Jan. 11 E&E News story on safer batteries quoted Marca Doeff.

A January ClimateWire story highlighted research led by Nitash Balsara on developing a safer battery, work which first appeared in a lab news release.
