A Jan. 7 Bloomberg News story covered a new report led by Ryan Wiser, GalenBarbose and others showing benefits to state renewable portfolio standards. EE News, SmartGrid News, GreenTech Media, Solar Industry magazine and many others also covered the report.

A Jan. 7 Californiamagazine story on elements on the periodic table discovered by lab and UC Berkeley scientists quoted Barbara Jacak.

A Jan. 6 New Scientist story on understanding the impacts of climate change quoted Michael Wehner.

A Jan. 5 Monterey Herald story noted that lab supercomputers would be used to test a new desalination well.

A Jan. 5 MIT Newsstory noted an honor given to ALS user Kelsey Stoerzinger.

A Jan. 4 Forbesstory on its “30 Under 30” in the energy sector included Marcus Lehman and Nicholas Flanders. Their nomination was facilitated by lab Public Affairs.

A Jan. 4 UPI Newsstory highlighted work led by Peidong Yang, who is working on “training” bacteria for photosynthesis. CleanTechnica and R&D magazine also covered his work, based on a lab news release.

A Jan. 4 San Francisco Chronicle architecture review looked at the new Shyh Wang Hall.

Recently, Ambika Bumb, a Molecular Foundry user, wrote in a TechCrunch piece about the benefits of federally funded research and user facilities such as the Foundry.
