Berkeley Lab “In the News” is our weekly review of Lab researchers, staff, and students who have appeared in the news media this past week. This is but a sampling of our coverage. Please note that some links may expire after time.

A Sept. 18 USA Todaystory noted a new report on solar energy and quoted Galen Barbose, while Mark Bolinger was quoted in a similar story in BreakingEnergy.com.
PV Magazine and other publications also ran stories.

A Sept. 17 International Business Times story on MacArthur Award winners quoted previous Lab winner, Carl Haber.

A Sept. 16 KGO-TV Channel 7 story featured a startup originating from Berkeley Lab technology that now helps remove arsenic from well water.

A Sept. 16 Forbes.comstory on renewable energy prices cited work led by Ryan Wiser which showed a reduction of wind energy costs.

A Sept. 15 US News & World Report story highlighted work by Bill Jagust on proteins and Alzheimer’s. The work was widely covered by numerous TV stations, the Daily Cal, Examiner.com, HealthDay, WebMD and many others.
