Lab news releases earned the following coverage:
KRON 4 TV came to the Lab to interview air quality expert Brett Singer (ETA) and ran a piece that aired several times. KCBS radio interviewed him on air and the San Francisco Chronicle also ran excerpts from his Lab Q&A on how to protect yourself from wildfire smoke.

Forbes, PBS NewsHour, NPR and USA Today quoted Christina Patricola (EESA) on a study published with Michael Wehner (CRD) in Nature on climate simulations projecting wetter, windier hurricanes. The Lab produced a release and the story also ran in Bloomberg, Live Science, The Guardian, SFGate, CleanTechnica, Engineering360, NY Post / AP, Independent, EcoWatch, The Verge, El Heraldo, ABC News (Australia), The Japan Times, Houston Public Media, The Informant, Science Daily, The University Network, and other outlets.

Under Technology, Microscopy and Analysis and Jersey Tribune covered a Lab release on an electron-based imaging technique to produce images of atomic-scale structures in a synthetic polymer. Berkeley College of Chemistry and Edgy Labs also ran the story.

Microscopy and Analysis quoted Junko Yano in a piece on new research by her and Jan Kern and Vittal Yachandra (all MBIB) to produce high-res images of photosynthesis, which was  published in Nature and shared via a Lab release.

Physics Today reported on research by Jacklyn Gates (CSD) and her colleagues to produce the first direct mass measurement of superheavy elements.

Inside Climate News quoted Nikit Abhyankar (ETA) on a story about the rising demand of AC contributing to global warming.

EOS announced that George Ban Weiss (formerly ETA) will receive the Global Environmental Change Early Career Award at AGU next month and published his remarks with a nod to the Lab, Ronnen Levinson(ETA) and Bill Collins (EESA).

HPC Wire and EnterpriseTechfeatured Horst Simon (LD) andKen Miura (CRD) in a piece on“The Perennials,” attendees of the founding SC conference (then called Supercomputing) who have attended every SC since.

Greentech Media mentioned Lab research establishing that air-conditioning represents one of the single biggest end-use risks to our climate.

Erich Strohmaier (CRD) and Horst Simon (LD)were named in Taipei Times, Computer Business Review and Knox News as members of the team who compiled the latest edition of the Top 500 Supercomputers list. electronicsB2B also ran the story.

The San Diego Union Tribunehonored physicist Richard 'Doc' Morris, who passed last month, mentioning that he worked at the Lab before teaching physics for 60 years at SDSU.

Government Cyber Insiderreported on Lab researchers looking into a machine-learning tool to help power companies detect and solve cyberattacks on their power distribution networks.

A sponsored piece by sPower on the benefits of wind energy published in The Advertiser-Tribune cited a Lab survey that found positive views held by wind farm neighbors.

The College of Engineering at University of Kentucky announced an $835,000 DOE grant for investigation of multi-principal element alloy materials with Lab scientists.
