An Oct. 20 PBS Southern California TV story on the effort to develop net-zero buildings included interviews with Horst Simonand Cindy Regnier and a look at the Lab’s FLEXLAB.
An Oct. 20 story in The Atlantic looked at work by Axel Visel showing why snakes have no legs. His work was widely covered including by the Washington Post, Science, Cosmos magazine, Christian Science Monitor, Live Science, theDaily Mail, and several international publications as well.
An Oct. 18 KHTS-AM/ Santa Clarita News story looked at a new report from a task force looking at the Aliso Canyon natural gas leak. The report noted that a team of scientists and engineers from Berkeley Lab was heavily involved in developing the content of the report.
An Oct. 18 Public Radio International story on the eventual ban on HFC’s from air-conditioners quoted Nihar Shah, who has done extensive research in the area.
An Oct. 17 Royal Society of Chemistry’s Education In Chemistry publication shadowed the Lab’s Ken Gregorich and Jackie Gates and their efforts in making new elements.
An Oct. 17 ChemEurope.comstory featured work supported by Hans Bechtel and Michael Martindemonstrating infrared imaging of an organic semiconductor known for its electronics capabilities. ScienceBlog.com also covered the work based on a Lab news release.
