A Jan. 29 ChemEurope story featured work led by Ali Javey on a simple hi-efficiency solar cell. CleanTechnica also covered the research based on a lab news release.

A Jan. 28 PhysOrg.com feature, based on a lab news release, looked at work by Priscilla Cooper on protein’s role in genome stability.

A Jan. 28 Gizmodo story highlighted work led by Ramamoorthy Ramesh and LaneMartin on a new state of matter for compact storage. A lab news releasefirst publicized their work.

A Jan. 26 Daily Cal story noted a recent grant for next-generation accelerator technology and quoted Wim Leemans and Jonathan Wurtele. R&D.com also covered the grant based on a lab news release.

A Jan. 25 GreenWire story noted the appointment of Mike Witherell as lab director. The Daily Cal and North American WindPower also noted his arrival, while the Daily Cal also ran a story noting Paul Alivisatos’ appointment as UC Berkeley’s head of research.

A Jan. 25 InsideHPC story featured a lab-producedtime-lapse video of the move of the Edison supercomputer into the new Wang Hall.

A Jan. 24 Newsweek magazine story on driverless cars quoted Jeff Greenblatt.

A Jan. 22 Nature Materials news story noted recent work led by Ting Xu and PaulAlivisatos on nanocrystal polymers.

A Jan. 20 GreenWire story quoted Ryan Wiser in highlighting a new report that looked at low-priced PV systems across the country.
