Berkeley Lab “In the News” is our weekly review of Lab researchers, staff, and students who have appeared in the news media this past week. This is but a sampling of our coverage. Please note that some links may expire after time.

The recent opening of the General Purpose Laboratory, with help from Energy Secretary Moniz,  was covered by KCBS radio, KTVU-TV Channel 2 and the Daily Cal, which included quotes from Venkat Srinivasan and Frances Houle.

An Oct. 30 Daily Calstory noted the signing at Berkeley Lab of an MOU between UC and Mexico.

An Oct. 30 Sciencemagazine story on dark matter quoted Yonit Hochberg.

An Oct. 30 Daily Calstory looked at continuing efforts by UC Berkeley and the lab to create a new campus in Richmond. Richmond Confidentialand a second Daily Cal story also looked at those efforts.

An Oct. 27 KQED.comstory highlighted a lab effort to create a solar vaccine fridge quoting Zach Friedman, Reshma Singhand Jonathan Slack.

An Oct. 25 Tech Timesstory featured research into the molecular structure of water at gold electrodes led by Miquel Salmeron. ChemEurope.com also covered the work.
