A Feb. 16 Eurasia Review story on training electrons with microwaves quoted ThomasSchenkel. Gizmag.com and the Daily Mail also covered the work, which was based on a lab news release.
A Feb. 16 KCBS-TV story on a visit by Energy Secretary Moniz to the Aliso Canyon gas leak in Southern California noted the lab’s involvement in helping cap the leak. On Feb. 18, the Lab’s Barry Freifeld appeared live on KNX-AM radio in Los Angeles talking about the leak.
A Feb. 15 audio story on Yale Climate Connectionsquoted Jeff Greenblatt in a story on his work on autonomous taxis.
A Feb. 15 Ars Technica story noted new findings from the Daya Bay neutrino experiment and quoted Kam-Biu Luk. A news briefing on the results, supported by lab Public Affairs and based on a lab news release, was held at the AAAS meeting in Washington, D.C. Feb. 13. The Guardian, Symmetry Magazine, Phys.Org and AAAS Science news were among many outlets that also covered the results.
Following a session on neutrinos at the AAAS meeting, the Lab’s Kam-Biu Luk joined his co-panelists in an Ask Me Anything session on Reddit.com, which was also reported on by AAAS News.
The latest issue of Innovation magazine looks at the Berkeley Lab Innovation Corps program and quotes Elsie Quaite-Randall and Robin Johnston.
A Feb. 12 Business Standard story featured work on a nanowire laser developed by Peidong Yang. The Daily Cal, NDTV, Financial Express, Xinhua News and others also covered the work, which was based on a lab news release.
A Feb. 9 Photonics.com story, based on a lab news release, looked at an improved camera to image astronomical objects and quoted Armin Karcher, who along with others at the lab, helped make the work possible.
A Feb. 9 Energy Manager Today story on renewable portfolio standards quoted report coauthor Ryan Wiser.
A Feb. 8 Daily Cal story on new findings into bacterial nano-compartments looked at work by Cheryl Kerfeld, work which first appeared in a lab news release.
