An Oct. 23 US News & World Report story featured three current lab-affiliated women who received L’Oreal Women In Science Fellowships, Sarah Richardson, Ming Yi andClaire Robertson. Sarah Ballard, another winner, conducted research at Berkeley Lab as an undergraduate.

An Oct. 22 Gizmagstory featured work on a 2D laser led by Xiang Zhang. The story was based on a lab news release.

On Oct. 22 R&D.comfeatured a piece, based on a lab news release, on an effort to build a total body scanner, work co-led by Bill Moses.

An Oct. 20 IEEE Spectrumstory looked at the potential of black phosphorous as a semiconductor, work led by Junqiao Wu. The story was based on a lab news release.

An Oct. 20 San Diego Union-Tribune story on the closing of a solar manufacturing plant in San Diego quoted Joachim Seel.

A recent story in The Economist looked at the potential increase in emissions in India and cited a recent Berkeley Lab report.
